7 night 8 day cruise from Dubrovnik to Venice

Program

Day 1 - Dubrovnik/Croatia -- 11:59 PM
Nestled on the Adriatic coast, Dubrovnik is a beautifully preserved fortifed town. Its ancient medieval walls contain a sparkling white Old City, filled with 15th-century churches, peaceful Franciscan cloisters, a cathedral with works by Raphael and Titian, and a fascinating Maritime Museum. One of Dubrovnik’s main attractions is the sea swim from the quiet, rocky beaches on either end of the city, or catch a boat to the wooded island of Lokrum nearby.

Day 2 - Kotor/Montenegro 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
Kotor is a coastal town in Montenegro, located in a most secluded part of Gulf of Kotor. It has one of the best preserved medieval old towns in the Adriatic, listed with UNESCO world heritage sites. It has numerous other sights, such as Cathedral of Saint Tryphon in the old town (built in 1166), and ancient walls which stretch for miles directly above the city.

Day 3 - Ploce/Croatia 9:00 AM 8:00 PM
Ploce is a town and a notable seaport in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county of Croatia. Ploce harbor was first mentioned on November 6, 1387, but the building of a larger port waited until the modern times. The work on the present harbor area first began in 1939 but it was all destroyed in World War II. It was rebuilt beginning with 1945 and the village of Ploce grew to 480 inhabitants by 1948. After the Adriatic road and Neretva railway lines were built to the port in the mid-1960s, the town experienced a steady growth.

Day 4 Hvar/Croatia 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
Blessed with an abundance of vineyards and perfumed lavendar fields, Hvar is an island that also echoes its rich Venetian past. Among the striking architecture dating to the 17th and 18th centuries, you'll find one of the oldest theaters in Europe. And the views of the neighboring islands from the fortress are truly unforgettable.

Day 5 - Sibenik/Croatia 7:00 AM 8:00 PM
Sibenik is a historic town in Croatia. A main attraction is the central church in Sibenik, the Cathedral of St. James, is on the UNESCO world heritage list. Several successive architects built it completely in stone in the 15th and 16th centuries, both in Gothic and in Renaissance style. The interlocking stone slabs of the Cathedral's roof were damaged when the city was shelled by Serbian forces in 1991. The damage has since been repaired.

Cruising The Kvarneric/Croatia -- --
The Kvarner Riviera is located next to Istria and is centred on the main Croatian port of Rijeka, the busiest port on the Adriatic.

Day 6 - Rab/Croatia 8:00 PM 4:00 PM
Rab is an island and a town of the same name located just off the northern Croatian coast in the Adriatic Sea. One of the Dalmatian islands, it is a popular seaside resort. Rab is covered with pine forests and has beautiful sandy beaches, and is well known for its mild climate which differs from the mainland. The reason for this is that three ridges are present which protect the island from cold winds from the Velebit mountains. The main resort, Rab Town, is full of medieval buildings, built during the Venetian rule, which occurred since the 13th century. The old town walls are still visible in some places.

Day 7 - Trieste/Italy 10:00 AM 5:00 PM
Trieste is a city and port in northeastern Italy right on the border with Slovenia. Culture, atmosphere, and a particular middle-European charm make this city today an unicum of its kind. Declared a free port in the 1700s, an indispensable outlet on the sea for the Habsburg Empire, it soon became the destination of merchants, entrepreneurs and adventurers from all around the world, and began to acquire the characteristics of a true cosmopolitan city.

Day 8 - Venice/Italy 7:00 AM
culture between the Byzantine and Roman worlds. The city the great traders and philosophers created is an extraordinary place. From the elegant carved gondolas and vaporetti that ply the Grand Canal to the magnificent Piazza San Marco bustling with life – Venice is unique in all the world. Great works of art are housed here, in the Accademia with its Renaissance masters and the collection of Peggy Guggenheim in her canal-side palazzo. The Basilica di San Marco and the Doge’s Palace are must-sees. After that, follow where your feet take you, over romantic bridges, to shops selling precious glass, to small cafés for a cappuccino or Campari.
